My Philosophy

Robin in the Middleburg Studio-2.

In 2014, I founded Rocking Horse Fitness to specialize in Pilates for riders in Middleburg, VA and throughout the greater Loudoun County area - but my mission quickly expanded to support equestrians everywhere. With virtual sessions and the ability to travel for clinics, I work with riders of all disciplines, no matter where they are in the world.

I work closely with clients—and often their riding instructors—to support the training they’re already doing.

My goal is to help horse and rider move as one, in a collaborative, judgment-free space where learning feels joyful and progress is sustainable.

At the heart of it all is connection—between you, your body, and your horse.

Where Horses and Human Movement Meet

My lifelong love of horses began in the saddle as a child and eventually led me to a career in fitness that now spans over 30 years.

At Rocking Horse Fitness, located in Middleburg, VA, I bring together my expertise in movement with a deep understanding of horsemanship.

It’s a place where Pilates and equestrian fitness come together—helping riders in Loudoun County and beyond build strength, balance, and body awareness to ride with more confidence and connection - not just for the rider's benefit, but to help their horse move with greater ease, freedom and joy.

Fitness That Respects the Horse

In the heart of Virginia horse country, we know our commitment to our horses extends beyond the barn. That’s why my program blends the 6  Pilates Principles with the Scales of Training-- also known as the "Training Pyramid" used in equestrian sport.

When riders move with greater intention, grace, and suppleness, horses respond with softness, trust, and a willingness to work.

Programs Designed for Real Riders

Whether you're a weekend trail rider, a dressage competitor, or returning to the saddle after time away, I design programs that support real-life riders at every stage.

I've trained everyone from young athletes to aging adults—but my passion is working with equestrians.

Based in Middleburg and serving greater Loudoun County, I help riders improve posture, reduce pain, and ride with more freedom—all through Pilates-based equestrian fitness.
